The start-up connecting African firms to tourists

Nigerian entrepreneur Rory Okoli started her career in Nigeria’s hospitality industry.

That experience, along with travelling across Africa, showed her it was not always easy for tourists to organise African trips.

So, she launched TripZapp with the aim of making it simple for travellers to find, book and pay for African travel.

In particular she wanted to connect locally-owned businesses with tourists.

That involved integrating the latest payment and productivity tools into the firm’s operations.

Now TripZapp offers all sorts of adventures, from swimming with turtles in Zanzibar, to hot air balloon rides in Egypt.

This is the fifth part in series on technology in Africa.
