Three burning questions for 2025 Rams

The Los Angeles Rams won 10 games for the second consecutive season, won a playoff game and had the eventual Super Bowl champions on the ropes in the divisional round of the playoffs. With Matthew Stafford back for at least one more year, expectations should be high in Los Angeles. So here are three burning questions for the Rams this offseason.

How much does Matthew Stafford have left?

Stafford showed in 2024 that he can still play at an extremely high level when healthy, and after some debate as to whether or not he would return to the Rams in 2025 the two sides were able to reach an agreement to make it happen.

Now the question becomes if he can do it again at age 37 and given his recent injury history.

The Rams did not really address the position from a long-term perspective this offseason, but did add another first-round pick in 2026 thanks to a draft-day trade with the Atlanta Falcons. There is a chance that it could be a high pick depending on what the Falcons do, and combined with their own first-round pick, could give the Rams plenty of ammo to meaningfully address the position next year.

They just have to get through this season.

If Stafford repeats his 2024 performance, this is a potential Super Bowl team in the NFC. But that can be a bit of a risk with a quarterback in their late 30s with recent injury concerns.

Will they reunite with Jalen Ramsey?

Cornerback has been a concern for the Rams ever since they traded Jalen Ramsey to Miami, and they did not really do much to address it this offseason in free agency or the draft.

There are, however, rumors that they could be interested in a reunion with Ramsey if the Dolphins end up trading him.

It would take some salary cap restructuring given Ramsey’s remaining contract ($24 million guaranteed salary this season) but that should not be too much of a headache for the Rams if they really wanted to do it.

Ramsey might not be the player he was a couple of years ago, but he would be a significant upgrade for a team that should still have its eyes on a Super Bowl.

The Rams significantly upgraded their defensive front and pass rush in 2024. Now they need to keep taking swings at improving the secondary.

Can Davante Adams still be an impact player?

With Cooper Kupp gone, the Rams needed to find somebody to complement Puka Nacua in the No. 2 role in the offense.

The Rams added Adams to be that player.

It might end up being an upgrade given what we have seen from the two players in recent years.

Even though Adams is entering his age-33 season, he has still been a durable player and steady 1,000-yard contributor right up through this past season, where he dealt with less-than-deal quarterback circumstances. Now he is going to get a chance to play with a great offensive coach (Sean McVay) and a top-tier quarterback. Given the injuries Kupp dealt with in recent years, as well as his declining production, this could end up being a significant upgrade for the Rams offense and give Stafford a potentially dominant 1-2 punch at wide receiver.
