Tom Brady Shares That Last Year Didn’t ‘Go Exactly’ The Way He Wanted

Tom Brady recently reflected on the past year as he marked New Year’s Eve with his children, admitting that 2024 didn’t go as planned.

Despite the setbacks, the former NFL star focused on the positives, expressing gratitude for everything and everyone who had “impacted me along the way.”

His remarks come amid his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen‘s pregnancy for her boyfriend Joaquim Valente.

Insiders claim Tom Brady has struggled to date since he learned that the supermodel is pregnant.

Brady took to his Instagram account to reflect on 2024, admitting that the year didn’t go how he wanted.

In a series of snaps he shared alongside his note, Brady can be seen ringing in 2025 with his children. Brady shares 17-year-old son Jack with his ex-partner Bridget Moynahan, as well as son Benjamin and daughter Vivian with his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen.

“I couldn’t have imagined a better way to ring in the new year than with the loves of my life,” the football star told his 15.1 million followers. “Reflecting on last year and thinking about the year ahead, there’s no better perspective than looking at these three and always trying to be better for them each day and helping to guide them in whatever way possible.”

He added that he was “so grateful for the experiences, blessings, family, friends, and everyone else who has impacted me along the way” and that he’s “blessed to have joy and gratitude in my life.”

“No year ever goes exactly the way we want, but when I think about 2024, I could not have imagined anything better,” Brady explained. “So many new experiences that I got to share with amazing people, especially the three beautiful angels in these photos.”

He then concluded his lengthy note by wishing his followers a “happy, healthy 2025″ and quoting one of his famous mantras: ” The best is yet to come.”

The seven-time Super Bowl winner was all smiles as he posed for pictures with his three children. In one snap, he flashed a cheerful smile while standing next to them with his hands wrapped around his youngest daughter.

Another photo shows the retired NFL legend in a golf cart with Vivian smiling at the camera. He also made sure to upload the beautiful golf course bordered by palm trees and a colorful sky at sunset.

The carousel of photos also included a picture that featured Vivian making a heart shape with her hand while standing in a pool at a tropical destination.

The holidays definitely afforded Brady some quality time with his children, especially after showing off his ripped body while playing golf with Jack, which he said was the “Perfect way to end the year.”

The former athlete’s photos come just one month after a source told the Daily Mail that Brady has been struggling to date since he learned that his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, is pregnant with her boyfriend, Joaquim Valente.

“Tom would love to date more but he is busy and very focused on his first year of being a commentator. It is easier to be single right now,” the insider shared.

They continued, “At first, everything stings. Her getting pregnant, her hanging out with Joaquim, her moving on. But then he snaps out of it and remains busy, knows that his life is pretty good and to worry about things he can’t control is a waste of time.”

The source added, “He could complain, but what’s the point? He got the best out of the relationship with Gisele until it fell apart, now it’s not his problem anymore. He will be fine.”

Brady married the former Victoria’s Secret angel in February 2009; however, the duo called it quits on their union in October 2022.

According to Page Six, a source said he knew Bündchen and her Jiu-Jitsu trainer boyfriend were getting serious, but he “never imagined” she’d get pregnant and have a baby with him.

“Tom knew that things were serious between Gisele and Joaquin but he never imagined they would be having a child together,” the insider told the news outlet. “It just wasn’t something that was on his radar. So when Gisele broke the news to him, he was stunned, to say the least.”

“At the end of the day, Tom’s sole focus is on his children and his career. What Gisele decides to do with her own life is really none of his business,” the source added.

Bündchen is said to be several months into her pregnancy, and the estimated day of delivery is early this year.

A source previously told the Daily Mail that Brady was ready to welcome Bündchen’s child into his blended family, much like she accepted his eldest son, Jack.

The insider went further to say that he is preparing to accept that Valente would now be part of his life, especially as Benjamin and Vivian have grown closer to him over time.

“Back in the day when they started to fall in love, she accepted and loved his son that he already had, so he is going to give the same respect to her future child,” the source noted. “At the end of the day, everyone is still family.”
