But in a later Truth Social post, the president slammed Budde, without naming her, and railed against “illegal migrants”: “Apart from her inappropriate statements, the service was a very boring and uninspiring one. She is not very good at her job! She and her church owe the public an apology!”
“The so-called Bishop who spoke at the National Prayer Service on Tuesday morning was a Radical Left hard line Trump hater,” Trump wrote.
“She brought her church into the World of politics in a very ungracious way. She was nasty in tone, and not compelling or smart.”
Billionaire Elon Musk, a staunch Trump ally, also knocked Budde’s remarks in a post on his social media platform, X. “She got the woke mind virus real bad,” he said.
Musk is the father of a transgender daughter who in 2022 filed a court petition to change her name, saying: “I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.”
