In the latest episode of “Promises Made, Promises Kept”, President Trump is moving very quickly to secure the southern border.

Pentagon officials told the AP that at least 1,500 active duty troops are set to deploy right away.

These troops will be the first active duty soldiers to be deployed to protect the American homeland in many moons.

Using the military to carry out its primary duty seems like a novel idea in our times. Nevertheless, it’s something people have been calling for, and President Trump has ordered his cabinet to decide if the Insurrection Act of 1807 should be invoked to deal with the border and the tens of millions of illegal immigrants already in the country.

The announcement comes after President Trump signed a whole series of Executive Orders on his first day in office aimed at protecting the border and upholding immigration law.

Among them are a redefinition of so-called “birthright citizenship” so that the children of illegal immigrants do not automatically become citizens.

Further, he ended “Catch and release”, and yesterday declared an invasion at the border – leading to today’s announcement.

He even designated the Mexican drug cartels as terrorist organizations.

The Pentagon is also getting help from Texas, who has been forced to largely fight alone for the last four years.

    What Comes Next?

The nation awaits Trump’s next moves – which could entail the promised “mass deportations”.

Border czar Tom Homan also responded to blue cities and states that want to protect illegal aliens, leaving no doubt that he is a very serious man: “Sanctuary cities are going to get exactly what they don’t want — more agents in the communities, more people arrested, more collaterals arrested. So that’s a game they want to play? Game on.”

It seems almost surreal, to have an administration acting on behalf of the American people instead of insulting us and treating our nation like the proverbial “Take One” candy dish at Halloween.
