    TSB says sorry for payment problems

    TSB has apologised to clients who didn’t obtain funds after a technical problem, and says the issue has now been resolved.

    Many purchasers had taken to social media to say they’d not been paid their baby profit on Tuesday, whereas others mentioned they’d not acquired their salaries.

    The financial institution mentioned all clients who had been due cash had now acquired it.

    The issues began in a single day, with a “small variety of clients” affected, it mentioned.

    TSB has about 5 million clients, with two million of these “digitally lively” on-line or by phone banking.

    The financial institution had earlier advised clients that they might “not be out of pocket” for any expenses made for late funds.

    In a later assertion on Tuesday afternoon it mentioned: “We’ve mounted the difficulty with BACS funds and have now credited all buyer accounts that had been because of obtain cash into them.”

    The Downdetector web site, which screens outages of on-line providers, showed hundreds of complaints about TSB on Tuesday morning, with many regarding funds.

    One consumer, Olivia, wrote: “At this level, I’m going to need to borrow cash as a result of I’m overdrawn with out an overdraft and have to do a meals store.”

    Many individuals had been anticipating their baby profit, which is due each 4 weeks on a Monday or Tuesday.

    Writing on X, a consumer known as Nicola advised HMRC customer support that she had not received her payment.

    An HMRC spokesperson mentioned: “Some clients who financial institution with TSB haven’t acquired their Baby Profit immediately because of points on the financial institution. All our programs are working and affected clients ought to contact TSB.”
