US Officials Issue Terror Threat Alert for Potential Cyber Attacks and Violent Extremists Following Iran Strikes | The Gateway Pundit

The National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS) issued a new alert on Sunday, noting a “heightened threat environment in the United States” due to U.S. involvement in Israel’s war with Iran.

It doesn’t help that the United States has been a safehaven for illegal alien criminals and terror cells over the last four years.

The U.S. bombed Iran on Saturday night, striking three nuclear sites in the first ever use of the GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator “Bunker Buster” bombs.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump addressed the nation last night, hours after the attack, which he called a “spectacular military success.” He further threatened Iran that “there are many targets left” and “we will go after those other targets with precision, speed, and skill” if they retaliate.

The operation, dubbed “Operation Midnight Hammer,” was further discussed by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs Chairman General Dan Caine in a press conference this morning.

The 18-plus hour mission was “the largest B-2 operational strike in U.S. history, and the second longest B-2 mission ever flown, exceeded only by those in the days following 9/11,” said General Caine.

The strike involved more than 125 US aircraft.

NTAS issued the following alert on Sunday:

The ongoing Iran conflict is causing a heightened threat environment in the United States. Low-level cyber attacks against US networks by pro-Iranian hacktivists are likely, and cyber actors affiliated with the Iranian government may conduct attacks against US networks. Iran also has a long-standing commitment to target US Government officials it views as responsible for the death of an Iranian military commander killed in January 2020. The likelihood of violent extremists in the Homeland independently mobilizing to violence in response to the conflict would likely increase if Iranian leadership issued a religious ruling calling for retaliatory violence against targets in the Homeland. Multiple recent Homeland terrorist attacks have been motivated by anti-Semitic or anti-Israel sentiment, and the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict could contribute to US-based individuals plotting additional attacks.

Already, we’ve seen an attack at a church in Michigan, where thankfully, no one was killed, but one person was injured.

The suspect remains unidentified, and the motive is still unclear.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) responded to the attack, stating, “war starts right now.”

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev also said in a statement that “a number of countries are ready to directly supply Iran with their own nuclear warheads,” attacking Trump for “push[ing] the US into another war.”

The Gateway Pundit will continue to provide updates on the fallout from last night’s attack.
