The No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks were able to take care of business on Tuesday even without their best player down the stretch.

Hunter Dickinson was ejected late in the second half against No. 11 Duke after he was assessed a flagrant two foul for appearing to kick Maliq Brown.

Dickinson had to leave the court area after the officials confirmed the foul via replay.

He finished his night prematurely with just 11 points, six rebounds and three assists. Dickinson was averaging 17.8 points entering the contest.

Kansas survived a second half surge by Duke and escaped its match at the Terry’s Chocolate Vegas Showdown, 75-72.

The Blue Devils turned the ball over on consecutive possessions within the final minute of regulation, committing 16 total turnovers Tuesday.

Duke actually outshot Kansas, converting 51.1% of its shots from the field compared to 49.1% for the Jayhawks.

But it was at the free throw line where Kansas won this battle, hitting 11 of 12 shots from the charity stripe.

Duke falls to 4-2 on the season and will face Seattle (2-3) in the consolation game on Nov. 29.

Kansas remains undefeated (6-0) and will face Furman (6-0) on Nov. 30.
