Watch: Trevon Diggs snags key interception vs. Eagles

Could Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs be recapturing his elite form?

On Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, with the Cowboys trailing 7-3 early in the second quarter, Diggs jumped in front of tight end Dallas Goedert, intercepting quarterback Jalen Hurts in the end zone.

In his first three seasons with the Cowboys, Diggs established himself as one of the top defensive backs in the NFL. He made two Pro Bowls and earned one first-team All-Pro nod.

However, he suffered a season-ending ACL tear in 2023, and it seems the injury is still affecting him in 2024. Through his first eight games, Diggs only had one interception and had posted a career-low 58.8 coverage grade, per Pro Football Focus.

If Diggs flips the switch in the second half of the regular season, that would benefit the Cowboys defense.

Through the first nine weeks of the season, Dallas ranked second to last in the league in points scored (28.1) and 17th in passing yards allowed (217 YPG).
