With Thursday’s 60-lap Duel qualifying races at Daytona complete, the starting lineup is now set for Sunday’s Daytona 500 (2:30 p.m. ET, FOX, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

Polesitter Kyle Busch and second-place qualifier Chase Briscoe were the only two drivers to lock in their starting spots in Wednesday’s qualifying session.

Notable Daytona 500 starting lineup notes

Duel winners Joey Logano and Chase Elliott will start third and fourth, respectively, on Sunday. Both drivers also earned 10 championship points for winning their duel races.

Ryan Blaney, Carson Hocevar, Austin Dillon, Kyle Larson, Brad Keselowski and Michael McDowell complete the top 10 starters for “The Great American Race.”

Other notable drivers include Christopher Bell in 12th, Clash winner Ryan Preece in 19th, three-time Daytona 500 champion Denny Hamlin in 22nd, Bubba Wallace in 27th and two-time Daytona 500 winner Jimmie Johnson in 31st.

Corey Heim and Justin Allgaier were two of the eight open drivers were who were not guaranteed a spot in the Daytona 500. They both locked into the field on their qualifying time on Wednesday. Heim and Allgaier are slated to start 29th and 40th in the 41-car field, respectively.

Casey Mears (17th) and Anthony Alfredo (38th) both raced their way into the Daytona 500 field in their Duel races, while Corey LaJoie, Chandler Smith, BJ McLeod and JJ Yeley missed the race.

Chris Buescher, Ross Chastain and two-time defending Daytona 500 winner William Byron will all go to a backup car following an accident in Duel 1 that incurred heavy damage on all three cars. They will all be sent to the rear of the field to start Sunday’s race.
