Zoë Kravitz is opening up about her relationship with Channing Tatum following their split, making it clear that there’s still mutual admiration between them.

The former couple, who met in 2021 while working on “Blink Twice,” ended their three-year relationship in October 2024, just months after getting engaged.

Their breakup came shortly after they made their red carpet debut at the August 2024 premiere of “Blink Twice,” the psychological thriller Zoë Kravitz directed and starred in, and in which Channing Tatum starred.

Despite their romantic split, Kravitz insisted that it hasn’t affected how she feels about the film or her ex, making it clear there is no animosity.

“Not at all,” she told Elle for its March 2025 cover story, published Tuesday. “I love this thing that we made together, and I care for him very much.”

She also expressed gratitude for their creative collaboration, saying it brings her joy to hear audiences praise Tatum’s performance. “It warms my heart,” she said. “I’m so happy that all of it happened. I just feel so grateful that we got to go on that journey together.”

Kravitz went on to commend Tatum as both a person and an actor, hinting at his promising future in Hollywood.

“He has so much more coming, and I think he’s in a place as an actor where he’s feeling really confident and people are seeing different sides of him,” she said. “He’s got a lot to offer, so I’m excited for people to keep witnessing that.”

Kravitz’s Elle interview isn’t the first time she has praised Tatum since their split.

Back in December 2024, she spoke to “The Batman” director Matt Reeves during Variety’s Directors on Directors, explaining that when casting Tatum in “Blink Twice,” she wanted “to weaponize his charisma.”

“Channing was the first person I thought of for Slater King, and I don’t know where that came from,” Kravitz said of Tatum’s tech-billionaire character in the psychological thriller.

And despite the former couple calling off their engagement that October, Kravitz, who met Tatum after casting him as the villainous Slater, stands by her decision. As she told Elle, “For Chan specifically, it was about how exciting it would be to see him do something so different and so surprising, and something that I knew he was so capable of.”

Zoë Kravitz And Channing Tatum Once Called Art Their ‘Love Language’ Before Their Surprising Split

Prior to their breakup, the two openly expressed their love for one another, especially when it came to their shared passion for creativity.

“Art is our love language,” Kravitz told PEOPLE at the “Blink Twice” premiere when asked about collaborating with Tatum again in the future. “I think it’s what we love, and we love talking about it, and experiencing it, and supporting each other.”

Tatum shared a similar sentiment in July 2024, telling PEOPLE that he highly recommends creating alongside a partner. “This is what I’ll say about creating with someone that you are with or love. I suggest it,” he said. “If you are thinking about having a kid or if you’re thinking about getting married, go find the hardest possible creative project with your partner.”

He added, “When you can look across the room or the set and know that you have the best person that is next to you trying to solve problems, and you’re really looking to them for answers just as equally as trying to solve them yourself, that is unbelievable.”

When news of their split broke, a source told Page Six that there was “no bad blood” between the pair. “They really just grew apart and decided it was best for them to go their separate ways,” the insider shared.

Though they are no longer together, Kravitz and Tatum are set to reunite on-screen in “Alpha Gang,” an upcoming alien-invasion comedy slated to begin filming this spring.

Before dating Tatum, Kravitz was married to actor Karl Glusman from 2019 to 2021.

Tatum, meanwhile, was previously married to “Step Up” co-star Jenna Dewan from 2009 to 2019, and they share an 11-year-old daughter, Everly.
