‘Temptation Island’s’ Natalie Thought She Knew Grant… But Did She?

Though he initially claimed he was loyal to Ashley, everything shifted after he saw her express doubts about trusting him again. Feeling hurt and disconnected, Grant leaned into his connection with Natalie, which led to romantic and physical intimacy.

By the final bonfire, both Ashley and Grant were emotionally checked out of their relationship. Ashley left the island with Danny Spongberg, while Grant, despite his connection with Natalie, chose to leave alone.

At that point, it seemed their story had come to an end, but as it turns out, there was still more to come.

Natalie’s connection with Grant on “Temptation Island” took her by surprise, but what started as an emotional bond quickly turned into a painful lesson in trust.

“Grant and I’s connection kind of took me by surprise,” she told host Mark L. Walberg on a recent reunion taping, which The Blast got an exclusive sneak peek of. “My first date was actually with Lino, but after the first bonfire, Grant and I started talking, and I liked that he wore his emotions on his sleeve.”

She admitted “We get extremely close,” though they didn’t leave “Temptation Island” as a couple.

Natalie went on to explain that their relationship deepened once filming wrapped. “We got really close after the show. We even went on a trip together, and that’s when I thought, ‘I do really like Grant.’” But with time, she realized, “I think he wanted to be all the things I was looking for in a person, but he couldn’t keep up that persona. That’s just not who he is.”

The situation took a devastating turn when Natalie’s gut told her something wasn’t right, and she was spot on.

“We were exclusive for a little over a month, but then he cheated on me with Ashley,” she revealed.

“I called my best friend before and said, ‘Call it women’s intuition, but I feel like he’s with Ashley,’” Natalie revealed, and just as she predicted, two hours later, he called.

She asked him if he was with Ashley, to which he admitted he was. And when she asked if he cheated on her, he owned up to it without hesitation and said, “Yeah.”

“I was like, okay, awesome. We’re never going to talk again and I hung up,” she said at the reunion.

While she gives Grant credit for owning up to his actions, Natalie made it clear she had already warned him. “I told him many times, if you ever do anything with Ashley or another girl, I’ll never speak to you again … He thought I wasn’t serious.”

When asked why she had that intuition, Natalie didn’t hesitate: “Given his past, he cheated on Ashley in the beginning of their relationship.”

In a twist no one saw coming, Natalie and Ashley have since become friendly.

“We’re cool. I wouldn’t say we’re the best of friends, but she reached out before the show, and we compared notes. I sent her every screenshot Grant ever sent me since we broke up so she could compare timelines,” Natalie said.

At the premiere, the two even held hands in front of Grant, just to see his reaction.
