Jerry Jones disses Micah Parsons when explaining how to beat Pack

Jerry Jones telegraphed why losing Micah Parsons wasn’t the end of the world for the Dallas Cowboys when he explained how his team could defeat the Green Bay Packers in Week 4.

On Thursday, the Cowboys traded Parsons to the Packers, a team that is 3-0 against Dallas in the playoffs since 2014.

During his news conference on Thursday, Jones referenced needing to get better in run defense as a factor that led to Dallas making the trade, seemingly taking a shot at Parsons about a problem the defense has when he’s on the field.

“The facts are specifically, we need to stop the run,” Jones said via Clarence Hill Jr. of All City DLLS. “And we haven’t been able to stop the run in key times for several years. And when you have the kind of extraordinary pass rush that [Micah] had, then the way to mitigate that pass rush is to run at you.

“If the pass rush doesn’t get you ahead pretty big time, and you’re playing even or behind, then you’ve really got a problem in stopping the run.”
