Meghan Markle sparked online reactions after fans spotted her using canning tongs upside down in a photo for her As Ever brand.

The post coincided with the launch of her new $30 Sauvignon Blanc wine and the restocking of her popular spreads.

Meghan Markle also recently attended Paris Fashion Week to support Balenciaga’s Pierpaolo Piccioli, where she turned heads in striking looks.

Meghan Markle’s Fans Spot Kitchen Blunder In As Ever Photo

Meghan has been the target of online teasing after a photo of her caught the attention of observant fans, who pointed out a kitchen mistake.

In the image, the Duchess of Sussex is seen lifting a jar of preserves from a pot of boiling water using a pair of canning tongs.

However, social media users quickly noticed that she appeared to be holding the utensil upside down as the duchess gripped the curved metal end, which was meant to secure the jar, instead of the black rubber handles designed for safety.

“Guys, she’s using the canning tongs upside down. The rubber part goes around the jars so they don’t slip,” one user wrote on X.

On social media, some found the mistake amusing, confirming that the colored rubber grips should indeed be used to hold the jars firmly in place.

“This is so funny. And yes, Emily, you are correct, she has them upside down. The green does, in fact, go around the jars,” one commenter noted.

Another noted, “Well, she isn’t really doing any cooking. This is just a video op.”

Others, however, came to Meghan’s defence, calling the moment relatable.

“Yes. She is definitely using them incorrectly. Does it really matter?” one fan replied. Another said, “She also stated it was her first time. It’s endearing. She has a sweet show.”

Meghan Markle Expands Her As Ever Brand With New Sauvignon Blanc And Fresh Jam Collection

The online teasing comes after Meghan quietly launched new products on her lifestyle website, As Ever, over the weekend, including a 2024 Sauvignon Blanc white wine, marking its first venture into wine, as well as a new stock of her apricot spread and orange marmalade.

The launch was shared on As Ever’s Instagram page, where two new photos were posted for its 878,000 followers. One image featured jars of apricot spread and orange marmalade nestled in straw packaging, while the other showed a chilled bottle of the new Sauvignon Blanc resting in a wine bucket. The caption read: “We heard you missed us. We’re back… and we brought a friend.”

While the apricot spread and marmalade have appeared in previous As Ever collections, the wine is a completely new addition to the lineup.

The Duchess Made A Surprise Appearance At Paris Fashion Week

Just hours after unveiling her new Sauvignon Blanc under the As Ever brand, Meghan made an unexpected appearance in Paris for Fashion Week.

The Duchess of Sussex attended the Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2026 show on Saturday to support a close friend, the fashion house’s new creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli.

According to her spokesperson, the visit highlighted “her support for his new creative chapter” at the iconic brand.

It marked Meghan’s first appearance at Paris Fashion Week ever. She was photographed mingling with high-profile guests, including Vogue’s global editorial director Anna Wintour and filmmaker Baz Luhrmann, at the star-studded runway event.

Meghan’s Paris visit quickly drew controversy for unexpected reasons. The mother of two faced criticism after posting a video of herself relaxing in the backseat of a luxury car, reportedly filmed near the Pont de l’Alma tunnel, the tragic site of Princess Diana’s 1997 accident.

In the clip, shared on Instagram, the As Ever founder appeared with her legs crossed and later stretched out across the seat as the car passed iconic Paris bridges such as Pont Alexandre III and Pont des Invalides.

Viewers noted that the vehicle seemed to be driving close to the Pont de l’Alma area, where Diana’s fatal crash occurred.

The post sparked intense reactions online, with social media users accusing Meghan of being “insensitive.”
