Taylor Swift had more than one connection on the field in the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the New Orleans Saints on Monday.

Khalen Saunders, a defensive tackle for the Saints, is the brother of Kameron Saunders, a backup dancer for Swift — who was in attendance Monday night — during her widely acclaimed Eras Tour.

And Khalen intercepted Patrick Mahomes in the end zone in the third quarter — one play after he laid a big hit on Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

The ESPN broadcast had just shown a photo of Kameron, Swift and Kelce together in London, where Kelce, the Chiefs tight end, joined Swift as a dancer onstage for one of her performances. On the next play, Khalen came down with his second career interception and ran the ball back to the New Orleans 35-yard line.

When he was asked by reporters during the week whom his brother would be rooting for, Khalen said Swift is his brother’s boss but he was there first.

Khalen Saunders, 28, is in his second year with the Saints. He was a third-round pick of — wait for it — the Chiefs in 2019. He played four seasons with Kansas City and won two Super Bowls with the team (and Kelce) before he joined New Orleans in 2022.
