Bebe Rexha has revealed she recently lost a pregnancy and urged people to quit commenting on her body.

Rexha’s revelation followed an exchange with rapper Azealia Banks, who criticized her Met Gala look.

The “Mean To Be” singer responded to Banks’ criticism by advising her to seek therapy.

Banks didn’t attend the 2025 Met Gala held in New York City on Monday night, but that didn’t stop her from actively participating in the proceedings from the comfort of her home.

The “Luxury” crooner trolled celebrities she felt made wrong fashion choices, and didn’t hold back in her criticism of Rexha, who wore a Christian Siriano black coat and grand tulle skirt paired with fishnet gloves.

Banks wrote on X, “Sis gives me – hormonal birth control implant or something. It’s giving implanon/nuvaring she needs removed or depo shot that needs to stop happening (I’m not even tryna play her).”

However, Rexha responded by asking Banks to seek help. She wrote, “And you might wanna jump on some type of therapy, sis, Lexapro worked great for me.”

She added, “Something that helps with the deep rooted sadness and chaos you keep projecting. Healing looks good on everyone. Try it.”

As the comments about her body continued, Rexha decided to reveal a previously unknown detail about herself to the world.

Per Page Six, she wrote in a now-deleted post, “I’m so tired of people commenting on my weight. I have PCOS and struggle with infertility.”

Rexha then revealed her pregnancy loss and hoped her disclosure would make people have a rethink before body-shaming other people.

She said, “I got pregnant, and it didn’t work out and I’ve been carrying that pain in silence.”

Rexha concluded, “I never owed anyone that truth, but maybe now you’ll think twice before commenting on anyone’s body.”

Before Rexha deleted the post about her pregnancy loss, many fans and well-wishers took turns sympathizing with her and sharing messages of support.

One person said, “You are so beautiful, inside and out, you know. No matter the haters, filter what you see here for the sake of your mental health! I hope you are well, sending you lots of love.”

Another person wrote, “There’s a whole army behind you,” while a third fan added, “I’m sorry for the loss of your baby. Deepest sympathies.”

Some fans who sided with Rexha amid her back-and-forth with Banks also commended her for standing up for herself.

One person wrote, “Atta girl…don’t lower yourself to their level…just send them to the help hotline number and keep on moving…You looked great!!”

This isn’t the first time Rexha has had to respond to body shamers this year. In February, she visited Dubai for a charity performance and had a live Instagram session with fans.

However, during the live stream, someone commented about Rexha’s appearance, writing, “You look like Marilyn Monroe after she ate Lizzo.” Rexha responded to the person, “Honestly, who cares? That’s a f-ckin’ hater, like, who’s bored with their life.”

She later addressed the issue via a video posted on her Instagram Stories, letting her fans know she was okay. She told her fans, “You guys were very nice to me and supportive of me. But I want to say a couple of things.”

Rexha continued, “Number one, I am unbothered. Number two, I’m very aware of everything. I know I gained weight. I know that I’ve been through a lot. I know that people know my songs but don’t know me, and I haven’t gotten the recognition I’ve deserved.”

The four-time Grammy Award nominee stressed that the criticism about her body didn’t bring her down but was a source of strength.

She said, “But instead of letting that all break me down, it’s actually made me feel more powerful. I’ve been working on new music, and I’ve been putting it into my music.”

    Bebe Rexha’s Reveals PCOS Diagnosis

Rexha opened up about her polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) diagnosis during a 2003 appearance on Gayle King’s Sirius XM show.

She said, “I definitely struggle with my weight and I struggle with the way that I look, and it’s been tough for me. I just found out recently that I have PCOS and a lot of women have it.”

Rexha highlighted her struggles with weight gain, noting, “It’s tough. … I’ve been definitely struggling with my weight and I’ve been struggling with food forever.”

The “Girl in the Mirror” singer shed more light on her diagnosis during an appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” in May 2023.

She shared, “I went to the doctor last year — and a lot of women actually have this and they don’t know about it — but they diagnosed [me] with PCOS.”

The singer added, “It’s one of the leading causes of why women gain weight and are obese. I literally jumped, like, 30 lbs. so quickly, maybe a little bit more. But we gotta just be positive and just show people love.”
