Brantley Gilbert’s Concert Takes Unexpected Turn; Wife Gives Birth

Country music star Brantley Gilbert, who has been with his wife, Amber, since 2015, experienced a heartwarming moment during his concert when he paused the show to welcome the birth of his son with his pregnant wife Amber on their tour bus.

Since tying the knot in 2015, Brantley Gilbert and Amber have welcomed son Barrett, 6, and daughter Braylen, 5.

On Saturday, Brantley took to Instagram to share an emotional video capturing the unexpected turn of events.

The video opened with a clip of the 39-year-old “Bottoms Up” singer performing, but he quickly left the stage after receiving a message from his team regarding “an emergency backstage.”

“Thank you to our road family for rallying around us, Brittany Thornton for helping us bring this little dude into the world, Tupelo, Mississippi for showing us mad love and support,” he said. “And most of all… Amber Gilbert, for letting me love you and showing me EXACTLY how incredibly strong a woman can be. I love you.”

The video then shifted to Brantley on the phone with his mother, excitedly informing her that she has a “new grandbaby” as the camera panned to reveal the newborn.

When his mom inquired about his wife Amber’s condition, the country singer proudly replied, “She’s a freaking savage.” After ending the call, Gilbert returned to the stage, announcing to the cheering crowd, “We got a baby!” However, the musician did not disclose the name of his baby boy.

He shared the video on his Instagram Stories, writing, “We’ve got a new addition to the Gilbert Family… God is good.”

In 2016, Brantley married his wife Amber and decided to purchase a large piece of land in Alabama. His vision was to create a space where disabled children and military veterans could come and hunt to their hearts’ content.

However, plans took an unexpected turn as life became increasingly hectic.

“You know, you get married and you have kids, and you have all these plans,” he told People Magazine in 2022. “But suddenly, all that time that you really didn’t have in the first place gets cut in half, and then you have kids and it’s like cutting those halves into quarters.”

He and his wife ultimately decided to sell the farm. “We weren’t getting to spend a lot of time there and it was too pretty of a place to have, but then have nobody get to ever see it,” Brantley admitted at the time. “We’re looking for another one closer to the house. Maybe in the next six years or so. I’d like to have something to hand down to the kids someday.”

Two years after welcoming his daughter Braylen, Brantley opened up about how life has changed, affectionately referring to her as “a handful.”

“She’s something else,” he laughed. “She’s got me wrapped around whatever finger she feels like putting me on. She can get away with anything! It’s really bad.”

After taking a breath, the country music star said, “Parenting is one of the scariest things on the planet to me. You only get one chance to do it, right? You have to do it correctly. And I worry about it.”

“My daughter is going to look to me for some big stuff and I’m going to want to help her, but I’ve figured out in life that sometimes, there is such a thing as getting in God’s way and doing too much. And it’s going to be a hell of a balance for us,” he added. “And you know, the boy thing goes without saying. That’s terrifying.”

After hearing the recent news, fans of Brantley immediately flooded the comments section of the video, congratulating him and his wife on their latest addition.

“I’m sorry, did your wife deliver a baby, from backstage, as you were in the middle of playing a show?” one follower asked. “If so, that is the absolute freakin most bada– story I’ve ever heard in my life. Leave it to BG to find him a bigger bada– than even he could ever be!”
