Whenever someone gets popular in sports or any high-profile business, really, there are going to be haters. So, yes, even Caitlin Clark, one of the most beloved WNBA stars of the moment, has critics.
Clark can sometimes get in the face of referees, with video clips making their way onto social media. Outkick even recently ran with one such clip for a story, suggesting “some fans condemned the referee, while others questioned Clark’s behavior.”
The criticism isn’t lost on her supporters.
The Indiana Fever standout has to deal with pressure not just on the court but off the court, too, and she often finds herself in the news for things that she really has no control over.
Now, NFL legend Rob Gronkowski is speaking up about the hate that Clark gets and giving her some words of encouragement.

Speaking with Fox News Digital in an interview shared on Thursday, Gronkowski said that Clark is doing very well and that she should just silence her “haters” by continuing to succeed and thrive.
“She’s doing a great job handling herself. She really is,” he said. “I’m not in her shoes. I’m not in her situation. If I was, though, I would kind of handle it very similar to how she’s handling it. She really is doing a great job.”
He added, “I would just say one piece of advice: Keep balling because if you keep balling, you’re going to keep shutting up the haters.”
The Fever play their next game on Friday against the Portland Fire at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. Per ESPN, she’s averaging 21.5 points, 7.9 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game for the team this season.
