Ohio State was on top of the world not long ago, but things change quickly in college football, and after an unexpected loss to USC, things are looking very different for the Buckeyes.
The new AP Top 25 college football rankings are out, and the top of the list looks a lot different than it did just a few short weeks ago.
Heading into the season, the Buckeyes were ranked No. 1. Now, they’re 6-2 and don’t have much room to lose anymore this season if they want to go all the way. They also don’t have their star quarterback, Julian Sayin, due to injury, which hurts. Now, this team really has to do some soul-searching and figure out how to get wins without one of their most important pieces. That takes talent and skills, but it’s not optional at this point.
Ohio State fell to No. 11 in the AP Top 25 Poll after Week 9 and going into Week 10. So, they fell out of the top 10 with this weekend’s performance. No. 1 is undefeated Miami, who barely pulled off a win over the North Carolina Tar Heels, but a win is a win, and they did it. The reality that they’re still undefeated at this stage in the season really says it all.
