Gwyneth Paltrow is once again at the center of social media buzz, this time not for her Goop-approved wellness rituals, but for what fans believe may be a health-related device spotted in her latest video.

Over the weekend, the “Iron Man” star shared a cozy reel to Instagram, showcasing her culinary side as she whipped up a batch of pancakes with strawberry compote.

But it wasn’t the recipe that had viewers talking. It was a small, circular patch clearly visible on Gwyneth Paltrow’s left arm when she lifted her hands at the beginning of the clip.

The patch immediately caught the attention of eagle-eyed fans, who speculated that the actress may be wearing a CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitor), a device typically worn by individuals managing Type 1, Type 2, or gestational diabetes to track blood sugar levels in real time.

Commenters flooded the post with questions and concerns.

“But why is she wearing a CGM?” one of her followers asked.

“Why do you have a type 1 diabetes blood glucose monitor? Are you diabetic?!?” another fan wrote.

“Are you wearing a glucose monitor?” a third asked.

Others, however, aren’t too happy with her wearing a CGM.

Another individual shared their recent experience trying to get theirs. “It was on back order at all the CVS’s in my area,” they said. “I had to transfer it to a Walgreens, and they only had one.”

Back in February, FOX reported that the Dexcom diabetes monitoring device was facing a national shortage.

Dexcom issued a statement on the shortage at the time:

“Dexcom is committed to providing G7 sensors to our patients without interruption. Currently we are experiencing temporary delays in our supply chain which may lead to some pharmacies or DME distributors being on a backorder. We believe that most of these backorders will be addressed within 5-7 days.”

While reports of the shortage emerged earlier this year, it remains unclear whether the company is still experiencing the issue.

While Paltrow hasn’t addressed the speculation directly, she has been open in the past about her proactive approach to health.

In a candid 2023 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she spoke about her commitment to regular screenings and genetic testing, citing her family’s history with cancer as a major motivator.

“My dad was diagnosed with cancer when he was only 54, and my mom has had some battles with cancer as well,” she shared. “So I am proactive in terms of having blood work looking for cancer markers, getting advanced imaging, and all that kind of stuff. Once a year, I try to be really good about check-ups.”
