Re: “Seattle area companies help fund Trump’s White House ballroom” (Oct. 24, A1):
The Seattle Times reported that “Amazon, Microsoft, and T-Mobile, all headquartered in the Seattle area, have donated to President Donald Trump’s new ballroom at the White House, according to a list of donors.”
Microsoft and Amazon donated to Trump’s inauguration fund, and some CEOs attended his inauguration ceremony.
Thousands of Seattleites (and millions of Washingtonians and Americans) demonstrated on the second “No Kings” day on Oct. 18.
How many of these thousands of demonstrators are financial investors and/or paying customers of Amazon, Microsoft and/or T-Mobile?
Does anyone else see a contradiction between marching against something yet spending one’s money to support what one has said they disapprove of? One can’t have it both ways. The American dollar speaks louder than footsteps and demonstration signs.
Seattleites, Washingtonians, Americans, vote with your pocketbook and stop financially supporting Trump enablers.
