Derek Hough Gives Seal Of Approval To Jenn Tran & Sasha Farber

Romance rumors between the two continue to swirl, fueled in part by their heartfelt performance during Disney Night on “Dancing with the Stars” on October 22. Dancing to “Kiss the Girl” from Disney’s “The Little Mermaid,” Tran and Farber captivated the audience with a performance that concluded with a sweet moment as Sasha kissed Jenn on the forehead, sparking even more speculation about their chemistry.

As the judges took their turns giving feedback, Derek Hough couldn’t resist adding his thoughts.

When giving the couple scores on their Disney Night performance, Hough playfully remarked, “Is it weird for me to say that I ship this?”

After making it past Disney Night, the two were eliminated one week later during Halloween Night. Two days after her elimination, Tran playfully hinted at the nature of her connection with Farber in a TikTok video, suggesting their relationship may extend beyond the ballroom.

In the playful clip, she captioned, “Private rehearsals starting ASAP #DWTS,” showing herself knocking on Farber’s door.

When he opens it, Farber greets her with a big smile, and she wraps her arm around him, leaving fans buzzing about the pair’s potential off-stage chemistry–including Hough, who commented, “I give this a 100 🙂 happy for you two.”

The clip is set to the viral sound, which says, “When one door closes another door opens. We so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the ones that open for us.”

Pro Ezra Sosa also shared two comments, including “this is so cute” and “I ship it.”

Following Disney Night on “Dancing with the Stars,” Farber spoke to The Hollywood Reporterabout the special connection he shares with his partner, Tran. “Listen, we have so much trust in each other,” Farber said, adding, “She’s an incredible woman. I’m just happy to be here on this incredible journey with her.”

Reflecting on their Disney-themed performance of a rumba to “Kiss the Girl,” Farber described the dance as “beautiful” and explained why they chose not to include a kiss in the routine. “We were like, ‘Hey, should we kiss?'” he recalled, but the two ultimately agreed it would feel out of place. “It wasn’t that type of dance,” he shared, as Jenn, visibly blushing, held his arm and lowered her head.

Although the judges and contestants playfully chanted, “Kiss the girl” following their scores, the pair maintained the tender but subtle ending to their dance, leaving fans enchanted by their close connection.

Farber recently finalized his divorce from fellow “Dancing with the Stars” pro Emma Slater. The couple, who married in March 2018, officially separated in April 2022, with Slater filing for divorce in February 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Their marriage did not result in any children, so no arrangements or disputes over child support were necessary.

As for the 26-year-old star of “The Bachelorette” Season 21, she became engaged to Devin Strader during the show’s dramatic finale. However, during the live “After the Final Rose” special on September 3, the couple announced their split.

The breakup soon became contentious, with Tran accusing Strader of participating in the show solely for fame. In response, Strader posted a 13-minute video on Instagram, detailing his perspective and sharing numerous screenshots of their text conversations to support his claims.

Tran’s recent post comes after she spoke to PEOPLE Magazine, in which she spoke warmly about Farber and her experience on “Dancing with the Stars” after her elimination on the “Halloween Nightmares” episode on Tuesday, October 29.

“Every day rehearsal is such a blessing and we got to have so much fun together, and it’s just been an incredible, incredible journey and I’m just so proud and happy,” Tran said, as Farber added he’s “so happy” as well.

“All the people that I’ve met have been so kind. I truly felt like a part of the family here. So, I’m walking away with a new family that I didn’t know that I had, and such an incredible man who I got to meet by twist of fate,” Tran said.  “We weren’t even supposed to be on the show this season, so I’m just so happy.”
