Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, painted a grim picture of the rapper’s jail life in an appeal for bail ahead of sentencing.

He claimed that the food served in jail is often expired or infested with maggots and described the facility as “inhumane.”

Following the verdict in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex crimes case, he has remained detained at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center.

Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, penned a “brief letter” on Sunday to Judge Arun Subramanian, in which he made several shocking claims about the facility where Diddy is being held.

In the petition, Agnifilo described the MDC as an “inhumane” facility, seemingly in a bid to persuade Subramanian as to why the music mogul should be released on bail.

He also addressed the facility’s food conditions, claiming that Diddy is being served contaminated food.

“MDC routinely serves food that is expired or infested with maggots,” Agnifilo claimed in the filing, in which he also added a picture of one of the alleged meals.

“The maggot-infested food captured in that photo is, unfortunately, not an uncommon experience,” he added, per Page Six.

As part of his appeal, Agnifilo, at the time, also urged the judge to consider the facility’s frequent lockdown as “exceptional circumstances” that call for his release on bail.

A second petition to Subramanian was written by Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Gina Huynh, who was listed as victim number three in the trial but did not testify.

She spoke about knowing Diddy in both a “personal and professional capacity” and described him as a “father, a family man, and a businessman.”

As reported by The Blast, Huynh urged Subramanian to see “beyond the allegations,” adding that while her relationship with the rapper had its “ups and downs,” he has since made “visible efforts” to improve himself and make amends for the pain he caused.

She also noted that when they parted ways, he “embodied an energy of love, patience, and gentleness” and should not be viewed as a danger to her or the community.

Huynh concluded her letter by assuring the court that Diddy would fully comply with any bail conditions and would not jeopardize his freedom if released.

Unfortunately for Diddy, the appeals from his lawyer and ex-girlfriend were brushed aside, as the rapper was denied bail for the second time since his mixed verdict.

Diddy had submitted a $50 million bond proposal, in which he also agreed to strict supervision and travel restrictions, along with electronic monitoring.

However, Subramanian sided with prosecutors, who had earlier argued that the rapper was a flight risk due to his vast financial resources, alleged past bribery of security officers, and ability to conceal his crimes.

“As for risk of flight or danger, Combs fails to meet his burden by clear and convincing evidence for the reasons set forth on the record at the July 2, 2025, hearing,” read the ruling, per Complex. “Increasing the amount of the bond or devising additional conditions doesn’t change the calculus given the circumstances and heavy burden of proof that Combs bears.”

The Rapper’s Team Is Interested In Seeking A Pardon

For now, Diddy is scheduled to be sentenced on October 3 for two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

Each charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, although far less than the penalties tied to the more serious charges for which he was acquitted.

Still, it appears that the rapper isn’t interested in serving any time, as reports have claimed that his defense team has reached out to President Donald Trump for a pardon.

“It’s my understanding that we’ve reached out and had conversations in reference to a pardon,” one of Diddy’s attorneys, Nicole Westmoreland, told CNN.

Regarding the possibility of the rapper receiving a pardon, Trump has hinted that it is unlikely he would grant it.

“When I ran for office, he was very hostile,” Trump shared in a recent interview with Newsmax about Diddy. “It’s hard, you know? We’re human beings. And we don’t like to have things cloud our judgment, right?”

He added, “But when you knew someone and you were fine, and then you run for office, and he made some terrible statements. So I don’t know…it makes it more difficult to do.”
