The post, which gained more than 144,000 likes, detailed how the rejection email, apparently written by artificial intelligence, was sent within one minute of her inquiry about potential internships.

“I’ve just been looking for a job and internship forever now and just wanted to express my frustration with the job market,” Pigeon wrote, adding that while she still likes Emma and the brand, she wanted to “call out the use of AI in the company.”

When Daily Mail reached out to Chamberlain Coffee for comment, the company’s reply confirmed that even the response to the media outlet was generated by AI, fueling even more criticism from fans who called the automated message “lazy,” “cold,” and “embarrassingly impersonal.”

“It’s literally the most simple, generic denial letter imaginable,” one critic commented. “They should be ashamed.”
