Fantasy ballers: No time to panic for these star players in Week 6

These star players haven’t put up big fantasy numbers in recent games. That should change with favorable matchups in Week 6.

Breece Hall (RB) New York Jets

With the exception of quarterback Aaron Rodgers, no Jets’ player should feel safe after the team fired head coach Robert Saleh on Tuesday morning. That should light a fire under the team’s top running back.

Hall hasn’t hit the 100-yard mark in any game this year and had a season-low nine carries (for 23 yards) in London against the Vikings last week. He also had a total of 10.5 fantasy points in his last two matchups. To be fair, he hasn’t had much help from the NFL’s 27th-ranked offense.

That should change in Week 6 when the Jets host the Bills for “Monday Night Football.” Not only are the Bills coming off consecutive losses to the Ravens and Texans, they’re currently allowing 144 yards rushing and the most fantasy points per game (36.03) to running backs.

Like Buffalo, New York lost its last two games and now that quarterback Aaron Rodgers is dealing with a sprained ankle, expect the Jets to lean heavily on their running game this week.

    Bijon Robinson (RB) Atlanta Falcons

Robinson scored a season-low 10.71 fantasy points on 12 carries (61 yards) against Tampa Bay on Monday after seeing just seven carries against the Saints in Week 4. His average of 13.52 fantasy points per game ranks 24th among running backs.

Like Hall, Robinson has a great opportunity to bounce back on the road against the Panthers in Week 6. Only Buffalo gives up more fantasy points per game to running backs than Carolina (30.85) and with quarterback Andy Dalton running the offense, the Panthers are actually putting up points. The Falcons should have no problem keeping up but could look to run out the clock after taking an early lead.

    Zay Flowers (WR) Baltimore Ravens

Flowers broke out of a mini-funk with a season-high 12 catches for 111 yards and 19.0 fantasy points against Cincinnati after gaining just 30 yards and 7.3 fantasy points in Weeks 3 and 4 combined. A first-round pick in 2023, Flowers led the team with 858 yards last season and looks to do the same in 2024 with 269 yards in his first five games.

This week, the Ravens host the upstart Commanders in a game that could cost Baltimore first place in the AFC North. Washington may sit atop the NFC East, but its pass defense is still a work in progress under new head coach Dan Quinn.

No team has allowed more fantasy points per game (46.08) to wide receivers than Washington this year, which should mean more yards and the second touchdown of the season for Flowers.
