Former NFL HC believes Tua Tagovailoa has already decided to retire

The Atlanta Falcons named Tua Tagovailoa the Week 1 starting quarterback last Monday. Fast forward a few days and he was ruled out with an injury suffered in practice, making Cooper Rush the new starter.

Tagovailoa struggled throughout the summer and Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski notably waited until the last possible moment to name him the starter. That was seemingly done by default once it became clear Michael Penix Jr. would not be ready for the opener.

This continues a drastic decline for the former No. 5 overall pick who saw the team that drafted him, the Miami Dolphins, take on a record dead-cap penalty just to get rid of him.

One former NFL head coach believes Tagovailoa is signaling to us all that he is ready for retirement.
