Halle Bailey Makes Shocking Claims About DDG In Custody Battle

Halle Bailey is involved in an emotional legal battle with her ex-boyfriend, DDG, for their infant son, Halo.

In explosive court documents, the “Little Mermaid” star painted a harrowing picture of alleged abuse, fear, and control.

This has led her to request sole custody and a restraining order.

According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE Magazine, Halle Bailey is petitioning for sole legal and physical custody of her baby boy, Halo Saint, who was born in December 2023.

Her request comes after a turbulent breakup with YouTuber-turned-rapper DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.

Bailey not only asked the court to deny DDG visitation rights, but also wants all interactions between him and their son to be supervised by a professional third party, limited to once a week for six hours, and only while Halo is in Los Angeles.

Additionally, she’s requesting a court order to prevent DDG from taking their son out of Los Angeles County, emphasizing the importance of consistency and safety in her child’s life.

In the court filings, Bailey made grave accusations against DDG, claiming that he has a history of abuse and intimidation.

She detailed multiple disturbing incidents that led her to seek legal protection for both herself and her son.

The singer stated, “Darryl has a history of abusing me, taking away or hiding Halo from me, threatening to take away or hide Halo from me, and not cooperating with me in parenting.”

To protect her son, Bailey is also seeking an order prohibiting DDG from applying for or keeping passports or critical travel documents for Halo.

If travel is necessary with Bailey’s consent, DDG must provide a detailed itinerary, copies of round-trip airline tickets, reachable contact information, and an open airline ticket for Bailey if Halo isn’t returned on time.

Bailey also included a particularly frightening incident from January 2024 when DDG came to pick up Halo. She said she tried to discuss a visitation schedule, but things spiraled quickly.

“I had left my front door open and was not even fully dressed as I was not even wearing shoes,” she wrote. “Darryl kept repeating ‘Get out of my car, B-TCH.'”

Bailey continued, “Halo was crying. I repeatedly pleaded with him to stop calling me a b-tch. I felt very nervous that he was taking Halo with him and was very agitated; I did not feel safe leaving a baby with him in his state. I also wanted to know when he would bring Halo back. He would not tell me.”

According to Bailey, the confrontation turned physical. She said, “At one point, Darryl was pulling my hair. He then slammed my face on the steering wheel, causing my tooth to get chipped. I then stopped fighting back as I was in a lot of pain. I wanted to get out of the car with Halo but was now stuck.”

She claimed DDG drove her and Halo to his home. Once there, she told his family about the incident and begged for help in setting a visitation schedule.

However, they allegedly told her to leave Halo and go.

In addition to the custody request, Halle Bailey secured a temporary restraining order against DDG.

The order mandates that he stay over 100 yards away from Bailey and Halo at all times, including at Bailey’s home, vehicle, and school.

Bailey concluded her court statement with a chilling declaration.

She said, “I’ve done everything possible to avoid going to court. I realize that there is no placating Darryl. I cannot allow this abuse any longer. I cannot keep living like this. I never know when he is going to demand our son to be in his Mother’s care and whether I will be subjected to his threats and abuse.”

A court hearing on the case was set for June 4.
