Premium cookware brand Larder & Vine has teamed up with celebrity chef Joe Sasto to create an exclusive enameled cast-iron cookware collection that’s as personal as it is professional. With pre-orders open now, the Chef Joe Sasto Cookware Collection fuses chef-driven performance with soulful design. Each of the three signature pieces showcases Sasto’s playful personality and Italian-inspired roots. Crafted in a striking purple shade called Grappa, the line features brushed-gold finishings, Joe Sasto’s iconic mustache engraved on every knob, and his signature etched into the base.

“It’s honestly surreal,” Sasto told The Blast. “Cookware is something that lives in people’s kitchens for decades, so to see my mom’s spirit and my own little quirks represented in something people will cook with every day feels bigger than me.”

Sasto designed the collection’s distinctive hue as a loving tribute to his late mother and to his own creative spirit. “The purple is a nod to her, but it’s also a reminder of where I came from,” he explained. “She always teased me about needing more purple in my life. Seeing her favorite color turned into something that will live in people’s kitchens would mean a lot to her.”

For Sasto, the color choice also symbolizes rule-breaking. “I’ve never been the kind of chef who colors inside the lines,” he said. “Cookware is often black, red, or gray, safe, and predictable. Purple is bold. It catches your eye and reminds you that cooking should feel creative, not rigid.”

That sense of rebellion and creativity runs through everything he does, from his viral pasta videos to his upcoming cookbook.

The cookware launch pairs perfectly with Sasto’s debut cookbook, “Breaking the Rules: A Fresh Take on Italian Classics,” out October 21, 2025. “They’re really two sides of the same coin,” he told The Blast. “The cookbook gives people permission to break traditions and have fun with Italian food. The cookware is the tool that helps you do that. I wanted people to open the book, get inspired by a recipe, and then reach for a pan that feels just as bold and personal.”

Together, the book and the cookware create what Sasto calls an invitation to cook with confidence, a philosophy he’s honed over years of television appearances and digital teaching.

Joe Sasto Says Cookware Is An Heirloom Built For Generations

After rising to fame on “Top Chef” and “Guy’s Grocery Games,” Sasto has built a career blending high-level technique with home-cook accessibility. His collaborations range from pasta tools to frozen ravioli, and now, heirloom cookware.

“Restaurant kitchens taught me about durability and performance. Competing on TV taught me to think fast and improvise. Cooking online taught me that cookware has to feel approachable,” he said. “This collection is the mix of all those lessons, pro-level performance with the playfulness and creativity I try to share with my audience every day.”

That spirit of approachability also guided his design process. “Good cookware should inspire creativity,” Sasto added. “I wanted these pieces to feel as comfortable in a professional kitchen as they do in someone’s home.”

    A Taste Of What’s Next

Beyond functionality, Sasto hopes his purple-hued pots and pans become part of families’ stories, just like the ones his mother used. “I hope it becomes part of their story,” he told The Blast. “Maybe it’s the pan they use for Sunday sauce or the braiser they pull out every holiday. I want these pieces to hold memories the way mine hold my mom’s.”

That emotional connection is what transforms cookware from a product into a legacy. “A generation from now,” he continued, “I hope someone looks at the purple pot and says, ‘That’s the pan we always used with my parents.’ That’s a legacy worth building.”

With pasta tools, pasta chips, frozen ravioli, and now cookware under his belt, fans can’t help but wonder if a full Joe Sasto kitchen empire is on the horizon. He laughed. “Let’s just say I like to keep people guessing,” he teased. “I never set out to build an empire, but I love creating things that make cooking more fun and approachable. Whether it’s a snack, a cookbook, or a pot, it’s all about bringing people joy through food.”
