Jordin Sparks Dragged By Beyoncé Fans Over Criticizing ‘CC’ Ticket Prices

Chatter about Beyoncé and the price of her “Cowboy Carter” tour tickets has been a hot topic, and the criticism is not just coming from everyday fans.

In a new interview, Jordin Sparks, the singer of the Billboard No. 3 hit “No Air,” revealed that she wasn’t planning on going to see Beyoncé on tour this time around because she seemingly couldn’t afford the tickets.

However, her statements didn’t go over too well with many of Queen Bey’s most loyal fans.

Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” tour, which kicked off in late April 2025 at SoFi Stadium in California, has been the talk of the town for the last two months, with the “JOLENE” singer pulling out all of the stops, including flying cars and flying horseshoes.

However, the nearly three-hour show, also featuring electric choreography, stunning graphics, and surprise appearances from her daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi Carter, isn’t enough for some people to spend the money on attending — even if you’re a millionaire.

In an interview with AP, posted to TikTok, the “Battlefield” singer told the publication that she didn’t have the “Cowboy Carter” tour on her summer bucket list because of the price.

“Those tickets are expensive, okay?” Sparks said when asked about the show. “I love her, I love her, but I’m like, they’re expensive, [and] I got school to pay for. I’m like, I can’t.”

Sparks did, however, send love Beyoncé’s way, calling the singer “incredible” before admitting she’s been watching clips of the massive production online.

In the comment section of AP’s TikTok account, users wasted no time sharing their thoughts on Sparks’ comments about Beyoncé and the cost of “Cowboy Carter” tickets.

“She ain’t no divaaaaa,” one user wrote, referencing the viral clip of Beyoncé pointing to a fan in the crowd during a portion of her popular song “Diva.”

Other users questioned the legitimacy of Sparks’ comment, with one adding, “Jordin Sparks can’t afford a ticket to ‘Cowboy Carter’?”

“Baby, are you broke?” another user commented. “We broke and we still going.”

Another poster also chimed in, stating, “The tickets are not that expensive. I wish people would stop with this narrative.”

The comments didn’t stop there, though. Another user claimed Sparks only mentioned the price of Beyoncé’s tickets because she “just don’t wanna go.”

Another user agreed, writing, “She just didn’t want to see Beyoncé … because … why would she say that?”

“Now [Jordin] girl … If you don’t want to go, just say so,” someone else posted.

One Fan Has Major Regrets About Spending $700 To See Beyoncé

And Sparks isn’t the only one with something to say about Beyoncé’s pricey tickets.

According to a previous report from The Blast, one fan who attended the singer’s blockbuster show at SoFi Stadium said they regretted spending $700 on their experience, considering they had an obstructed view.

“It turned out to be a waste of money,” the fan said. “I wanted to be close to the action and had been advised that these would be better than floor seats because I’d get an amazing view of Bey’s blockbuster stage production.”

They continued, “I was confident I’d found two of the best seats in the house. I couldn’t believe that I’d spent $700 for me and my friend to see Bey live, but she is the most awarded artist in Grammy history and has been lauded as the greatest performer to ever grace the stage.”

But the madness didn’t end there.

In addition to their obstructed view, the fan also claimed that they were unable to hear Beyoncé’s chart-topping singles due to distorted sound in the stadium.

“The stadium speakers were pointed directly at our section, making each one of Beyoncé’s hits deafeningly loud and distorted,” they explained. “I’m not trying to sound like the quintessential Karen that complains that the concert is too noisy, but the audio from my seat was so blown out that Bey sounded like she was wailing into a toddler’s plastic karaoke machine at full blast.”

And to make matters worse, the venue was reportedly freezing. “I would’ve been warmer watching the show in an igloo,” the fan joked. “I’m sure the sound quality would be better, too.”

The fan concluded with a shocking statement, adding, “I’ve seen almost every pop star from Beyoncé’s generation in concert, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Britney, JLo, Justin, Miley, Pink, Christina, and this was by far the worst concert experience I’ve ever had.”
