It will be interesting to see if incremental socialism means real progress. It isn’t clear from the article what actual steps might be taken to uplift the poor and make Seattle a great place for nonbillionaires.
The one thing that can destroy a new approach is trying to do everything at once, but moving too slowly will set on fire cries of “false prophet.” The new mayor needs, like Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani in New York City, to surround herself with experienced people and listen to them.
