According to Dan Hollis, the Butte-Silver Bow County coroner in Montana, Blackstock’s cause of death was natural and directly linked to melanoma. Hollis confirmed that Blackstock died at his home in Butte, Montana, on August 7, surrounded by loved ones.

In a statement shared by the Blackstock family, they revealed that Brandon had “bravely battled cancer for more than three years” and ultimately “died peacefully,” emphasizing that he was “surrounded by family” in his final moments.
