The “Truth Hurts” hitmaker’s latest look came hot on the heels of her surprise appearance at SZA and Kendrick Lamar’s “Grand National Tour” stop at SoFi Stadium on Wednesday night.

Lizzo joined SZA onstage for a remix performance of “Special,” the empowering anthem from her 2022 album of the same name.

In the photo, Lizzo stuns in a dramatic, voluminous platinum blonde hairstyle that cascades past her shoulders in soft curls, giving strong ’90s bombshell vibes. She’s wearing a sultry, deep burgundy lace ensemble that hugs her curves and features sheer detailing and black accents. During an April appearance on Jay Shetty’s “On Purpose” podcast, the Grammy-winning artist opened up about what she calls her “intentional weight release journey,” a process she says has been unfolding quietly over the last year and a half.

“I have been on an intentional weight release journey,” the singer shared. “I put it on the internet. I posted about it, and I think over the last year and a half, as I’ve been doing it, my body has been changing, very slowly, but I don’t think people were paying attention.”

While Lizzo’s appearance may be shifting, her commitment to body positivity remains unwavering. She made it clear that despite her physical transformation, she’s maintained her stance against fatphobia throughout the entire experience.

“I was still very anti-fatphobia on this entire journey,” she explained. “But I think that we gotta remember [that] everybody’s not seeing your sh-t all the time, everybody’s not seeing every video you post, everybody’s not privy to what you’re going through.”
