Season 1 Premiered On September 6

“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” premiered in early September and instantly gained a huge following. Some fans have been following the MomTok group on TikTok for a while, and many others got sucked into the drama through the reality show.

The show follows the lives of a group of Mormon moms and all the drama that follows, including the aftermath of the “soft swinging” sex scandal that involved the leader of the group, Taylor Frankie Paul, and made headlines in June of 2022 after she announced her divorce and revealed the “soft swinging” her and some friends were involved in.

In addition to Paul, the show also follows Jennifer Affleck, Layla Taylor, Whiteny Leavitt, Demi Engemann, Jessi Ngatikaura, Mayci Neeley, and Mikayla Matthews.

Season 1 left fans hanging in regards to Whitney’s departure from the group, Paul and her boyfriend Dakota Mortensen’s rocky relationship, and what’s next for the girls who took the internet and reality TV world by storm.

Where Does Mayci Neeley Stand With Whitney Leavitt Since Season 1?

On a recent episode of the “Whine Down” podcast with Jana Kramer, Neeley opened up a bit about her relationship with Leavitt. She said that “most of us are good,” referring to the friendships in the group, but she also noted, “one girl in our cast [is] not too good,” which seemingly referred to Leavitt. She also added that they are “cordial.”

And it’s not just Neeley who seemingly has an issue with Leavitt. There has been tension between Leavitt and a few of the MomTok moms.

When Leavitt chose to skip Neeley’s Baby Mama launch party, it appeared that things have hit a serious speedbump with the girls’ relationships. Neeley confronted Leavitt at Matthews’ birthday party, calling her “selfish” because she did not show up to the launch party.

“I don’t think we’re even a fraction as close as we were when we started the show because of everything that transpired at the end and her not supporting me,” Neeley said on the podcast, according to PEOPLE. “I’m not gonna be [in a] one-sided friendship.”

Are Taylor Frankie Paul And Dakota Mortensen Over?

It wasn’t long after Paul shared a cryptic video on TikTok that had fans wondering if her and Mortensen called it quits that it was being reported that they have broken up.

Paul captioned her September 21 TikTok video, “Plz no. We don’t want her back,” with “Not me slowing morphing into 2022 me” written on the video of her emotionally dancing around. The video grabbed the attention of more than 15 million views and thousands of supportive comments.

Fellow MomTok moms Matthews and Neely both commented on the video with Matthews writing, “Always here for you bb,” and Neeley adding, “This new chapter will be better than ever! Lean on us, we got you baby.”

The MomTok Moms Come Clean During Rapid Fire Questions

The Utah mom group shared some inside info during a round of rapid fire questions in a video shared on The Secret Lives on Hulu Instagram page.

Questions asked were about wearing garments, drinking alcohol and coffee, and attending church every Sunday, among others. While the answers may not shock viewers, they definitely bring up some questions that have been circulating around whether or not they follow the Mormon church’s beliefs.

One viewer dropped into the comments to say, “Ok now I’m confused. They say they are Mormon but don’t do anything that Mormons believe in? Like I get not doing 100% but they like don’t do anything at all.” Another person added, “So now they’re admitting that they’re not very Mormon.”

Season 1 of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” is currently streaming on Hulu.
