Meghan Trainor Hails Game-Changing Weight Loss Drug

Meghan Trainor is setting the record straight about her weight loss journey and embracing her path to transformation.

The singer, who has been open about her body transformation, previously revealed plans to “get a boob job” after shedding weight and noticing changes from breastfeeding.

Meghan Trainor welcomed her sons Riley and Barry Bruce in 2021 and 2023, respectively, with husband Daryl Sabara.

Trainor opened up about science’s role in her health journey, revealing she turned to Mounjaro for help. The pop star, honored at Billboard’s 2025 Women in Music Awards, took to Instagram to celebrate the milestone and address the fixation on her body rather than her music. 

She candidly expressed frustration over the industry’s focus before pointing out, “No, I don’t look like I did 10 years ago. I’ve been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me.”

Trainor shared that she worked closely with a dietitian, made significant lifestyle changes, and turned to Mounjaro for additional support after welcoming her second child. Her caption partly read:

“I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy. And I’m so glad I did because I feel great.”

Mounjaro, the brand name for Tirzepatide, is an FDA-approved medication used to treat type 2 diabetes and assist with weight loss, per Drugs.com.

Trainor concluded her message with a powerful reminder, “Here’s to celebrating talent, growth, and the power of putting yourself first. Let’s keep shifting the convo to what REALLY matters.”

Trainor’s candid reveal about her health transformation sparked an outpouring of support from fans and fellow celebrities alike.

Among the many well-wishers, artists like Muni Long and Miranda Lambert expressed their admiration with simple yet heartfelt comments. Lambert noted, “Love this,” and Long offered a warm, “Congratulations.”

Fans could not help but express how much Trainor’s journey resonates with them. One fan gushed, “I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. YOU ARE MY QUEEN, MY EVERYTHING.” 

Another emphasized Trainor’s unwavering confidence, stating, “Proud of you!! You owe no one an explanation. I love you.” In addition to supporting her transformation, a fan highlighted Trainor’s authenticity, writing:

“You have and always will be body goals, Mama! Thank you for being real and inspiring through the stages – from the sweet baby songwriter to the badass wife/mom/superwoman that you are!”

Meanwhile, one fan praised her music, stating, “I love your songs!!! They get me through each day.”

Trainor had social media in a frenzy after unveiling a striking transformation in an Instagram post. The Blast reported that the singer stunned fans with a bold look, a sheer chiffon dress layered over a white tee, matching arm and leg warmers, and white leather shark boots.

While the ensemble was praised by many, the spotlight quickly shifted to Trainor’s noticeable weight loss, sparking mixed reactions. Some fans complimented her, calling her “beautiful” and praising her transformation. However, not all responses were as kind. 

Critics questioned her body change, with one commenter cheekily writing, “Where did all the bass go?” while others speculated about her use of weight-loss drugs like Ozempic.

Trainor did not just embrace change; she welcomed it with open arms. The Blast reported that during the November 20 episode of her “Workin’ On It” podcast, she candidly shared, “I’m getting a boob job.” 

She reflected on the shifts in her body, explaining how pregnancy and motherhood had left her chest fluctuating in size. “My mommy boobies were full of milk, and now they’re empty, and then they’re full of milk, and now they’re empty. They got big, they got small, they got big, they got small.”

The TV personality also admitted that her weight loss left her self-conscious. “I’ve lost some weight, and I have, like, saggy sacks as boobs,” she noted. While the change would not be drastic, Trainor emphasized that the procedure would “be huge for my confidence.”

Although she has always been a self-love champion, even she admitted that embracing body positivity was not always easy. After navigating pregnancy weight gain and postpartum changes, the 31-year-old had to confront the self-critical habits she grew up with.

In a 2023 interview, Trainor shared that negative self-talk was common in her household. “My mom is very hard on herself, and my dad is like a jokester, but not in a good way,” she revealed. 

She explained that his way of giving advice felt more like teasing, which left a lasting impact. Determined to break the cycle, Trainor emphasized, “I’m trying to rewire my brain so that my future daughter and son don’t think like that as well.”

During an August 2023 episode of her podcast, Trainor also disclosed that she has been using Botox for years. “I just want to freeze myself right here,” she joked. However, the star reassured fans that she was not overdoing it.
