According to sources who spoke to Radar Online, the 2025 Met Gala is preparing for more than just high fashion, as there’s growing unease about a potential appearance by Kanye West.

The insider revealed that Anna Wintour has ramped up security at the Metropolitan Museum of Art amid fears the controversial rapper might try to crash the exclusive event, despite not being invited.

An insider said, “Anna is not messing around. There’s a full protocol in place if Kanye is spotted anywhere near the carpet.”

Though it’s still unclear if the “Runaway” rapper plans to attend, another insider said that if West shows up, “there’s a plan,” as Wintour “has made it clear – no drama on her carpet.”

A fashion security consultant also commented on West’s potential crash attempt: “It’s not just about the outfit – it’s about the chaos he brings. After what happened at the Grammys, no one’s taking chances.”

Wintour’s reported concerns escalated after West posted a controversial sketch teasing a possible Met Gala outfit.

The rough illustration, which showed a hooded, faceless figure with a pointed, KKK-like hood, bare chest, gloves, and boots, was captioned “MET BALL 2025.”

According to reports, observers were quick to condemn the design, with one critic suggesting West had “swapped spots with Bianca,” while others warned that stunts like this could result in him being barred from future high-profile events altogether.

Adding to the unease is the confirmed attendance of Kim Kardashian, West’s ex-wife, who is reportedly desperate to steer clear of the rapper.

Sources close to the SKIMS founder claim her focus is solely on her fashion statement and maintaining her brand image.
