The world may have been stunned when Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry ended their nine-year relationship earlier this summer, but his ex-wife, Miranda Kerr, has revealed that the separation is far from bitter.

In a rare and candid radio interview, the Australian supermodel shared her thoughts on Bloom’s breakup with Perry, opening up about how the blended family continues to prioritize love, respect, and their children above all else.

In doing so, Kerr admitted something that surprised fans: she still loves Bloom.

Kerr recently appeared on KIIS FM’s “Kyle & Jackie O Show,” where she was asked about Bloom’s breakup with Perry.

Unlike many high-profile Hollywood splits, the 42-year-old said this one was drama-free.

“I actually just saw them both on the weekend. We were celebrating [their daughter] Daisy’s birthday,” she revealed, making it clear the family still spends meaningful time together.

Kerr, who shares her 14-year-old son Flynn with Bloom, stressed that maintaining peace is crucial.

“We’re one big, happy family,” she explained, before adding, “Katy is amazing, I love her. And Orlando obviously.”

For Kerr, keeping things amicable isn’t just a nice gesture; it is essential when children are involved. “If you do have animosity, it only hurts yourself,” she said.

Kerr’s comments echoed what insiders have been saying since June.

When news of the split first broke, a source told PEOPLE that Katy Perry was determined to keep her co-parenting relationship with Bloom strong.

“Katy has every intention of maintaining a positive and respectful relationship with Orlando,” the insider shared, emphasizing that Bloom would always come first in her life as Daisy’s father.

The source continued, “They’ve been through a lot together and while they’ve decided to go their separate ways, there’s still a mutual respect between them. They’re still very much in touch and co-parenting Daisy together. For the sake of their daughter, they’re committed to keeping things amicable.”

Bloom and Perry have always had a relationship filled with highs and lows.

The pair were first linked after a Golden Globes afterparty in January 2016, instantly becoming one of Hollywood’s most-watched couples.

Early on, they made headlines for an unforgettable vacation moment in Sardinia, when Bloom was photographed paddle-boarding naked while Perry looked on.

They called it quits in 2017 but reconciled a year later. In February 2019, the “Kingdom of Heaven” star proposed with a dazzling engagement ring thought to be worth around $5 million.

A year later, they welcomed their daughter Daisy, Perry’s first child and Bloom’s second.

Despite their shared milestones, cracks began to show in 2025.

Sources revealed that the couple had been living apart since the kickoff of Perry’s Lifetimes Tour in April.

By June, the split was official, just days after reports surfaced that they were renting out their $30 million Montecito mansion to Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger.

Meanwhile, Katy Perry is currently embroiled in a legal dispute over a $15 million Montecito mansion she and Bloom purchased from 85-year-old Army veteran Carl Westcott.

Carl, diagnosed with Huntington’s disease and under hospice care, initially agreed to sell the property but later sought to rescind the contract, claiming he was mentally unfit to make the decision.

In December 2023, a judge ruled in favor of the singer, validating that the sale and ownership were officially transferred in May 2024 through an LLC linked to Bloom.

Over a year later, the case has entered its damages phase, and Perry is seeking approximately $6 million for deferred maintenance, structural issues, and lost rental income.

In her August 2025 testimony, she emphasized her financial interest in the property, stating she seeks “justice.”

After Perry gave her virtual testimony, the son of the disabled veteran blasted her in an interview with the New York Post.

Chart Westcott described the “Dark Horse” crooner’s performance as “disingenuous” and robotic, even calling her the “Wicked Witch.”

He said she appeared to testify in pajamas, which he saw as disrespectful and lacking empathy for his father.

Chart also claimed the pop star had grown cold and unrecognizable, accusing her of exploiting a dying man for financial gain.

He argued that she had chosen to “fight a dying man in court,” a move he believed caused needless pain.

His brother, Court Westcott, echoed the same feelings, adding that their family had already endured a grueling five-year legal fight and that they were simply trying to protect their father, who could no longer speak for himself.
