The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have picked up an important 2026 commitment in four-star wide receiver Bubba Frazier.

Frazier is from Savannah, Georgia and was considering the Georgia Bulldogs amongst other schools, but he announced his commitment to the Fighting Irish on Monday.

Frazier received an offer from the Fighting Irish in February and then took a visit to South Bend in early April. It was that visit that really made things click for the Georgia wide receiver and Notre Dame.

“That visit was definitely big,” Frazier told Chad Simmons of On3. “Seeing the campus and getting to see and talk to the coaches in person felt better than anywhere else. My relationship grew with the coaches and they showed me how they could use me, so I definitely knew it was home when I left that visit.”

Per On3, Frazier’s primary recruiter at Notre Dame is wideouts coach Mike Brown. Ever since the four-star received his offer from the Fighting Irish, he and Brown have been establishing a strong relationship.

Head coach Marcus Freeman also made an impression.

“Coach Freeman wants what’s best for me. The conversation we had [on the visit] wasn’t even about football… It was just about life and the things I can have just from going to Notre Dame,” Frazier said.

Amongst the other schools that were in consideration for Frazier’s commitment were Bill Belichick’s North Carolina Tar Heels and the Wisconsin Badgers. He had official visits scheduled to Georgia Tech in May and Wisconsin in June. It remains to be seen if those will be canceled or not, but he seems pretty set on the Irish.

“When I called them to commit on FaceTime, they were excited and they welcomed me to the family. It feels good to be a part of the family. I know that Notre Dame is going to set me up for good outside of football,” he said.

As a junior, Frazier caught 46 passes for 753 yards and five touchdowns while rushing for 604 yards and eight touchdowns.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Frazier is the No. 58 wideout in the country. He’s also a sprinter on the track field, so he’s bringing speed to the table for Notre Dame.
