Rock music legend Steven Tyler has reportedly split from longtime partner Aimee Preston after more than a decade together.
The pair began dating in 2014 after Preston started working as his assistant and made their relationship public in 2016.
The breakup comes as Steven Tyler faces an ongoing lawsuit, with accuser Julia Misley challenging his attempt to dismiss claims of alleged sexual abuse dating back to the 1970s.

Their history goes back more than a decade. Preston began working with Tyler as his personal assistant in 2012, and their professional relationship later turned romantic.
The pair started dating in 2014 but kept things private until stepping out publicly at the 2016 Oscars, where they attended Elton John’s AIDS Foundation viewing party hand in hand.
Amid the split-up claims, a different source who spoke with Us Weekly seemingly denounced the rumors, saying Tyler and Preston are still an item.

Following the event, Preston shared a heartfelt Instagram post in February alongside a photo from the night.

Steven Tyler’s Past Relationships And Marriages Before Aimee Preston
Before his relationship with Preston, Tyler’s romantic history included several high-profile partnerships. In the 1970s, during Aerosmith’s early rise, he dated model Bebe Buell.
Their relationship ended amid Tyler’s struggles with substance abuse. Buell later gave birth to Liv Tyler, whom the singer only learned was his biological daughter years later. Liv was raised by Buell and musician Todd Rundgren.
Tyler then married model Cyrinda Foxe in 1978, the same year they welcomed their daughter, Mia. The marriage ended in divorce in 1987. When Foxe passed away from brain cancer in 2002, Tyler attended her funeral to pay his respects.

The news of Tyler’s split from Preston comes as he remains involved in ongoing legal proceedings. In August, a woman who had accused the singer of sexual abuse dating back to the 1970s responded to Tyler’s latest effort to have the lawsuit dismissed.
In court filings obtained by Rolling Stone, plaintiff Julia Misley argues that Tyler’s motion to dismiss her claims is legally flawed. She says Tyler, now a California resident, waited too long to argue that he cannot be sued under California’s Child Victims Act, calling the delay a “fatal” defect in his defense.
Misley alleges that the abuse occurred in the mid-to-late 1970s, when she was 16 years old, and Tyler was in his mid-20s. According to her complaint, the alleged assaults took place in multiple locations, including Oregon, Washington, Massachusetts, and at the Beverly Hills Hotel in California.
Tyler has countered that Misley’s claims should be barred, asserting that the two lived together in Boston for much of their relationship, where the age of consent is 16. However, Misley argues that Tyler effectively waived that defense by failing to raise it in earlier responses to her lawsuit.
