Re: “Zelenskyy: U.S. easing sanctions on Russian oil ‘not the right decision’ ” (March 14, Nation & World):

What a heartbreaking understatement. President Donald Trump’s hypocritical lifting of sanctions on Russian oil in order to lower our gas prices by a few cents puts billions into Russian President Vladimir Putin’s pockets, which surely will be used to replenish his war arsenal.

Thanks to Trump and his Republican acolytes, you will be filling your tanks with Ukrainian blood. How low can they sink?

    Michael Perlman, Seattle
