There is no denying that the Boston Red Sox are the hottest team in MLB entering the last two months of the season.
Fresh off a 21-4 record in July and three-game sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston swung big ahead of Monday’s trade deadline and went within the AL East to acquire more help on offense.
Adley Rutschman is reportedly headed to Boston
According to MLB personality Jared Carrabis and several other reports, Boston has acquired switch-hitting catcher Adley Rutschman from the Baltimore Orioles.
Rutschman, the former No. 1 draft pick in 2019, has been on the injured list since July 19 with a left wrist injury.
In return, Baltimore is receiving stellar pitching prospect Anthony Eyanson as well as Enddy Azocar, Kyson Witherspoon, Harold Rivas and Carlos Narvaez.
