Power rankings for the FedEx Cup Playoffs: Scheffler the man to beat

With the 2026 PGA Tour regular season coming to an end, it’s time to shift our focus to the FedEx Cup Playoffs. The top 70 players in the FedEx Cup standings have advanced to the postseason, and they’ll battle for the season-long title over the next three weeks.

Ahead of the FedEx St. Jude Championship, let’s power rank the top 10 golfers vying for the FedEx Cup.

    10. Si Woo Kim (2,201 points)

Kim has been a model of consistency all season, as he has 10 top-10s and only two finishes outside the top 50 in 21 starts. The 31-year-old also ranks fifth on the PGA Tour this year in total strokes gained per round.

    9. Chris Gotterup (2,254 points)

Gotterup leads the PGA Tour with three wins this season. His combination of elite driving and putting makes him a threat to win every tournament he enters.

    8. Xander Schauffele (1,780 points)

Schauffele had a mediocre regular season by his standards, but he’s still recorded 10 top-20 finishes in his last 15 starts. The American has one of the highest floors on the PGA Tour due to his strong all-around game.

    7. Cameron Young (3,161 points)

Young broke out this season with wins at the Players Championship and Cadillac Championship, but he’s finished outside the top 40 in four of his last six starts. If he can fix his recent putting woes, Young will be a top contender to win the FedEx Cup.

    6. Rory McIlroy (1,738 points)

It’s hard to rank McIlroy right now. The World No. 2 is still an elite golfer, but he’s played only four times since the PGA Championship in May, and he’s lost strokes on approach in three straight starts. The three-time FedEx Cup champ isn’t playing his best golf this time around.

    5. Collin Morikawa (2,229 points)

Morikawa ranks fourth on the PGA Tour this year in total strokes gained and second in strokes gained on approach. He’s also gained strokes from putting in five straight starts, so he should feel good about his chances entering the playoffs.

    4. Tommy Fleetwood (2,046 points)
