Ryan Seacrest has a relationship update, and it comes with a punchline. The “Wheel of Fortune” host declared himself single during Wednesday’s episode of “On Air with Ryan Seacrest,” turning a conversation about post-breakup behavior into a revealing moment about his own love life.
His admission comes just months after reports suggested things were heating up between him and Dutch model Maxime Nova. But while those reports painted a picture of romantic vacations and a fast-moving relationship, Seacrest’s latest description of his dating life sounded decidedly different.
Ryan Seacrest Jokes About His Single Status
Seacrest was discussing what he called “RSB,” which stands for “recently single behavior,” when the conversation took a personal turn. “You can spot this stuff,” he said in a clip shared on Instagram. “Somebody changes the color of their hair. Recent single behavior. Everybody has their own way of doing it.”
Then came his own confession. “I have RSB, but I didn’t SB,” he continued.
Co-host Tanya Rad wasn’t letting that explanation slide without a follow-up. She asked whether he was “sure,” prompting Seacrest to pause before offering a less-than-confident answer. “Hmmm. No.”
Rather than unpacking the details of a possible breakup, the longtime broadcaster found another way to describe his situation. “I have LSB, long-time single behavior.”
Seacrest burst out laughing alongside Rad and fellow co-host Sisanie Villaclara, keeping the exchange playful even as he offered a rare glimpse into his personal life.

Seacrest’s single-status declaration adds a new wrinkle to the romance reports that surfaced over the summer. In August, sources told Page Six that the “American Idol” host was getting serious with Nova. “He is completely besotted with her. And she feels the same about him as well,” one source claimed at the time. “They are head over heels.”
The reported romance also came with a lavish summer getaway. “He just spent an absolute fortune taking her on a romantic holiday for the summer,” the insider said.
According to that report, Seacrest flew Nova by private jet to join him aboard a luxury yacht in the Ionian Sea. “They make such a gorgeous-looking couple, and it’s become very serious in a short space of time,” the source added.
Ryan Seacrest Previously Dated Aubrey Paige And Julianne Hough

Seacrest has never married, although several of his relationships have played out in the public eye. Seacrest’s relationship with Aubrey Paige went beyond occasional red carpet appearances. The pair first went public over Memorial Day weekend in 2021, when they were spotted together in the Hamptons, and largely kept their romance private before splitting in April 2024.
Paige was also there for a major professional goodbye, joining his parents and sister in the audience for his final episode of “Live with Kelly and Ryan” in April 2023. When their breakup was confirmed a year later, a source told PEOPLE that the decision was mutual and that they intended to remain friends.
Julianne Hough Later Explained Why She Walked Away

Before that relationship, he dated Julianne Hough from 2010 to 2013. During an August 2024 appearance on Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast, Hough explained that entering Seacrest’s world introduced her to experiences she hadn’t previously imagined. But she also worried that people would think she was dating him for his connections and opportunities.
According to Hough, that insecurity led her to downplay herself and adapt too much to the relationship. When she decided to leave, some people in their circle questioned why she would walk away from such a comfortable life. For Hough, building something of her own mattered more.
His Romance With Shayna Taylor Included Several Second Chances

He also had an on-and-off relationship with model Shayna Taylor between his romances with Hough and Paige. Taylor recalled meeting him at a Los Angeles restaurant in 2013, where friends helped break the ice after Seacrest tried to find out whether she was there with another man. Their introduction included him playfully taking a hairband from her wrist, a moment they later remembered together.
Their relationship eventually involved a major move, with Taylor relocating to New York to be with him while he hosted “Live.” They split in February 2019 but were spotted together again in Positano, Italy, that August. By June 2020, however, their third attempt at making the relationship work had ended.
