In the video, Shakira dances and sings before a soccer field backdrop, surrounded by an ensemble of dancers. The clip also features cameos from some of the world’s biggest soccer stars: Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, Luis Díaz, Vinícius Jr., Rodri, Takefusa Kubo, Santiago Giménez, Alphonso Davies, Jamal Musiala, Christian Pulisic, Harry Kane and Erling Haaland.
Shakira first released the track on May 14; Saturday marked the debut of the official video.
This is far from her first World Cup moment. The Colombian superstar has been intertwined with FIFA for nearly two decades, going back to the 2006 tournament’s closing ceremony in Germany, where she performed “Hips Don’t Lie” and “Bamboo.” She then opened and closed the 2010 World Cup in South Africa with “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” and returned to the stage again at the 2014 tournament in Brazil.
This summer, Shakira will make history once more, headlining the FIFA World Cup’s first-ever halftime show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19 — the day of the World Cup final — alongside Madonna and BTS.
