‘SNF’ takeaways: Jaxson Dart shines in Giants’ win over Cowboys

The New York Giants set the tone on their opening drive of the game and never looked back in a statement 28-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys on “Sunday Night Football.”

Here are some takeaways from the NFC East battle.

Key takeaway: Giants make a statement in HC John Harbaugh’s debut

There has not been much for Giants fans to cheer about lately, but the offseason hire of the former Baltimore Ravens head coach provided some reason for optimism going into the season, especially with a talented quarterback-running back duo of Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo.

That was especially evident in Sunday night’s season-opening win over their NFC East rivals. For Skattebo, specifically, he now has the second-most touchdowns (eight) in his first nine NFL games with the Giants since Bill Paschal (12) in 1943, per the NBC broadcast, after this three-yard TD run followed by an acrobatic backflip.
