Recently I’ve noted several articles in The Seattle Times that reflect on the last 12 years of former Gov. Jay Inslee’s leadership. A failing ferry system; a failing school system with falling test scores and budget deficits; a state budget deficit for the next biennium; a burgeoning homeless population; and, most recently, a mandate for costly electric trucks coupled with a lack of charging stations for these trucks that has the potential to cripple our transportation system.
Exactly what did Gov. Inslee and the total control of Washington state by one party accomplish over the last 12 years other than sowing the seeds for decline and ever-higher taxes?
My only hope is that our new governor will choose a more commonsense path and abandon the failed and failing policies of his predecessor.
