The comments quickly grabbed headlines and were later followed by reports that permits had been filed for activities surrounding Madison Square Garden during the holiday weekend.
Now, according to Page Six, it seems as though crews were hard at work outside the iconic New York City venue on Monday as trucks, lighting equipment, drapery materials, and other event supplies arrived at Madison Square Garden.
Workers were reportedly seen unloading large pieces of equipment from semi-trailer trucks while forklifts moved oversized trunks throughout the property. Several vendors also appeared to take extra precautions to conceal the nature of the event, reportedly covering company logos and identifying information while working on-site.
Among the items reportedly spotted during setup was a box labeled “40-inch mirror ball.” The detail quickly sparked speculation among fans, many of whom connected it to Swift’s song “Mirrorball” from her 2020 album “Folklore.” While there is no confirmation the item is connected to the singer herself, the discovery only added to the growing excitement surrounding the event.
In addition to the reported reception at Madison Square Garden, Page Six reported that permits have also been secured for a smaller gathering expected to host roughly 100 guests. Sources told the outlet the event is believed to serve as the couple’s rehearsal dinner ahead of the main celebration.
While Swift and Kelce have not publicly commented on the reports, preparations around the venue have only strengthened speculation that wedding festivities are already underway.
