Happy 38th birthday to seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver and No. 2 wide receiver in Cincinnati Bengals history, A.J. Green!
Coming between generational receivers in Chad “Ochocinco,” Johnson and Ja’Marr Chase, Green was one of the most productive pass-catchers in the NFL from 2011-17. He made his seven Pro Bowls in his first seven seasons, reaching 1,000 yards in six of those campaigns – falling just 36 yards short despite playing in only 10 games in 2016.
Despite his dominating presence on the field when healthy, he played in just nine games in 2018, missed the entire 2019 season with an ankle injury and was never quite the same. He played his final season in Cincy in 2020 and served a limited role with the Arizona Cardinals for two seasons before retiring after the 2022 campaign.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Over the course of his 11-year career, Green racked up 10,514 yards and 70 touchdowns on 727 receptions. He’s also one of 33 players to rack up 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns in three different seasons. How many of those players can you name in five minutes?
