While the Dallas Mavericks prepared to celebrate using the first overall pick of the 2025 draft on Duke star Cooper Flagg, they were also working on retaining the services of a former No. 1-overall pick out of Duke: Kyrie Irving. Irving and the Mavs have reportedly agreed on a three-year, $119 million contract despite the veteran point guard tearing his ACL in March. Before his injury Irving was playing well, averaging 24.7 points, 4.6 assists and 1.3 steals-per-game in 50 contests.
