Tom Brady To Spend Thanksgiving Alone As Ex-wife Takes Kids On Holiday

Tom Brady is reportedly spending Thanksgiving without his children.

The ex-footballer’s former wife, Gisele Bündchen, is said to have gone on vacation with their kids and her boyfriend, Joaquim Valente.

Tom Brady himself will be “tied up with work” that day, calling the game between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants.

This Thanksgiving, Tom Brady will reportedly celebrate the holiday without his kids or his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen.

The Fox Sports NFL broadcaster divorced the model in October 2022. During their marriage, they welcomed two children, Benjamin and Vivian. Brady also has a son, John, with his ex-girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan.

According to a source, the family won’t be spending Thanksgiving together, as Bündchen decided to head to Costa Rica with her boyfriend, Joaquim Valente, and brought the kids along.

“Gisele took the kids and headed to Costa Rica with Joaquim to spend the holiday with each other,” the insider told Page Six. “Tom is supportive and that’s the arrangement he and Gisele have agreed upon.”

Fortunately for Brady, “will be busy working” as Fox Sports NFL broadcaster for the Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants game rather than spending the whole day at home.

“He’s going to be calling the game for Fox that day and will be tied up with work,” said the source, adding that the ex-footballer will still “have plenty of time to spend with his children during the holiday season.”

Bündchen’s decision doesn’t seem odd, as she is currently pregnant with a child for her boyfriend, Valente, whom she has been dating for a while.

The supermodel shared the news about the baby in late October, and sources later reported that Brady was stunned when he heard his ex-wife was pregnant as he never expected her new relationship would progress to the point of having a child.

“Tom knew that things were serious between Gisele and Joaquin but he never imagined they would be having a child together,” the insider recently told Page Six.

They added, “It just wasn’t something that was on his radar. So when Gisele broke the news to him, he was stunned, to say the least.”

When the pregnancy news was shared, Bündchen was said to be already five to six months pregnant. If there are no complications, this sets the date for delivery for early next year.

Despite being stunned by the news, Brady reportedly wouldn’t allow it to distract him from his career and his kids.

The insider said of the former footballer: “At the end of the day, Tom’s sole focus is on his children and his career. What Gisele decides to do with her own life is really none of his business.”

Even when a photo of the Super Bowl champion with an unidentified woman went viral, it was clarified that he had not begun a new relationship and was still “super focused on his kids and work,” per Page Six.

After retiring from football, Brady signed a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox Sports as their lead NFL analyst. His portfolio also includes stakes in Las Vegas sports, film and TV, and apparel.

According to People Magazine, Brady and Bündchen have been co-parenting their kids since their divorce.

The decision was part of their agreement in the divorce petition, although the exact details of the co-parenting arrangement are unclear.

“I think there are easier days than others, but I think it’s amazing that the kids… they’re super smart children. They know what they can get away with,” Bündchen told the publication.

At the time, she also mentioned that their kids have been adapting to living with two parents and that she hopes they all find a “balance” as they continue with this new chapter of their lives.

“Tom has to have time with them, and I have time with them, which I think is amazing because they get to really experience more enrichment for their lives,” Bündchen shared. “Two different worlds, and they get to learn from two different worlds, and that’s wonderful for them, I think. They’re so big.”

According to Page Six, Bündchen and Brady had no issues expanding their family despite already having two kids.

The two welcomed a son, Benjamin, in December 2009 and a daughter, Vivian, in December 22021. Meanwhile, Brady already had a son, John, with his ex-girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan.

Despite their readiness to add one more, it was not something they really tried to focus on while they were still together.

“Gisele and Tom were open to having another child during their marriage,” a close source told the outlet about the couple. “But it wasn’t something they were actively trying to do.”

The duo eventually went their separate ways in October 2022, ending their 13 years of marriage after months of speculations that they were having marital issues.
