Watch: Johnson addresses Halas Hall after being named Bears HC

Ben Johnson is the new head coach of the Chicago Bears.

Whether or not he can translate his massive success as offensive coordinator of the Detroit Lions into being a head coach is something we’ll have to wait and see to find out — because many great coordinators have tried and failed to be a head coach — but for now, the Bears believe they have their guy.

The Bears, arguably, got the most exciting young play-caller in the league to pair up with their No. 1 overall pick quarterback, Caleb Williams, and right now, the vibes are high.

In fact, while addressing a group of Bears employees at Halas Hall, Johnson made it clear that Chicago is exactly where he wanted to end up as a head coach.

“This is exactly where we wanted to be,” Johnson told the crowd. This is going to be a challenge. I’m well aware of that. I know what this division’s about, and this is exactly where we want to be.”
